Now It's Ferguson's Turn

Thankfully, Winry responded very well to the metronidazole, and bounced back to her old self in about 2 full doses.  We'd been just fine then for a while, until recently when Ferguson started having pudding poo -_-.

The first bit is usually normal and formed, and then the second half is the consistency of pudding, which came out of nowhere, and is again, unusual.  However, his symptoms were completely different than Winry's, as he didn't NEED to go or had any trouble controlling when he went as she did.  It's just suddenly become...well...pudding.

Additionally, his appetite has become ravenous.  The last time this happened, he had an unfortunate case of hookworms.

You remember our friend, Mr. Hook?
So, because we are desperately trying to save money at the moment, I thought we'd go ahead and do some broad spectrum deworming.  He doesn't seem to be in much pain or anything otherwise, so as long as it doesn't get worse, I think paying $40 for 3 rounds of worming is worth a try.  We'll also up the probiotics and add a bit of canned pumpkin in the meantime.

Hopefully he starts to clear up soon!  We'll keep an eye on it, but here's hoping we can avoid a vet trip.

Hope Ferguson is soon ok. My girl often goes like that, even though I worm her regularly.

Polly and I are sending hugs to (((Ferguson)))
